In the year 2000 Tom Hart Dyke was on a plant hunting expedition in the Columbian jungle when he was kidnapped by guerrillas who told him he would die.

While waiting for the inevitable during nine months captivity, he mentally planned a world garden for his ancestral home, Lullingstone Castle in Kent.

Come and hear the story of his capture and how he came from disaster to a garden that is enjoyed by thousands of visitors every year. Hear about his subsequent, less traumatic plant hunting adventures, seeking plants for his World Garden.

The Community Centre Bar will be open for Refreshments!
